How We Price Siding in Vancouver, WA

Every siding price on this site is a range built from what Vancouver, WA and Clark County contractors publish online, with the date we checked it. None of it is a quote: what your house costs depends on its walls, the material you pick and what turns up under the old siding, and only the pro who measures the house can price it.

Where do the siding prices on this site come from?

From Clark County siding and remodeling contractors who publish their prices, checked on September 17, 2026. A range counts as local only when at least two independent local contractors publish comparable numbers, and identical numbers from two publishers count once. Oregon-only pages, pages older than 24 months and templated city calculators are left out.

Are the ranges averages or quotes?

Neither: each is the span local contractors publish for the same job. Fiber cement, for example, shows as $8–$15 per square foot installed because two Vancouver, WA price pages put it there, and a full vinyl re-side as $8,000–$18,000 across three. No figure comes from jobs we priced, because we don't price jobs.

Why will your siding quote differ from the range?

Because your walls aren't the average wall. Installed siding runs about $900 per square of 100 square feet, so wall area and stories move the total first. Hardie runs 50–100% more than vinyl, higher-end trim packages add $1,500–$5,000, and a single area of rot behind the old boards adds $1,000 to $5,000 once the tear-off exposes it. The siding cost guide ranks every driver.

Who can give you an actual price?

Only a siding pro who has measured the walls, counted the openings and looked at the trim. Send a request and our vetted local siding pro comes out to do that and puts the scope and price in writing.

How are the ranges kept current?

Each range carries the date its source was checked. When a source changes its published prices, or a new local contractor page qualifies, the range is updated and the change is dated in the price updates log.
